Starlite Recovery Center helps emerging adult men ages struggling with addiction and mental health disorders build a strong foundation for long-term recovery. Young men who struggle with addiction and other closely-related issues often face an even more difficult transition to adulthood than their peers who do not abuse drugs or alcohol. In order to address the unique needs of these young men, Starlite has developed the Neoteric Program. This exceptional track is a day rehab program with activities specifically tailored to the needs and interests of this specific population. A dedicated team works closely with each client to develop an individualized treatment plan that provides education on the disease of addiction, helps uncover the barriers to success, and creates a roadmap for lifelong recovery. The curriculum used with Neoteric clients focuses on recovery from chemical dependency as well as the development of independent, sober-living skills and teaches the skills needed to successfully re-enter life.
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, substance abuse is a major issue among young adults. Because of the frenzied party culture and the availability of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, families and communities are experiencing devastating consequences. Hope by the Sea's young adult track is designed to address the unique needs of younger clients as they transition from chemical dependency to lifetime success. Whether guiding you through young adulthood or preparing you to live on your own, our team restores your confidence, teaches academic proficiency, and positions you for success after rehab. Stress is part of reality, but it can be a major obstacle to addiction recovery. During your Hope by the Sea experience, you'll learn to manage common stresses without returning to drugs and alcohol. Track features include:.
The use of alcohol and drugs during the developmental years can inhibit the necessary skills and abilities necessary to manage emotions, communicate thoughts and feelings, and problem-solve effectively. Continued use can ultimately frustrate efforts to build healthy relationships and develop realistic goals for a productive future by a related cycle of poor choices, impulsivity, and destructive behaviors. When substance use habitually becomes an option to detach from feelings, responsibilities, and other stressors, a pattern of negative consequences becomes the process by which the young adult develops increasingly poor self-esteem and gravitates to negative environments and peer groups.
Clients are housed in a clean and comfortable gender-specific facility that is set in an inspirational setting where they receive 25 hours of dually-licensed, masters-level clinician-led individual and group therapy sessions each week. Our gender-specific young adult mental health programs offer safety within small groups that have relatable needs to one another. Our two serene campuses one for men and one for women provide a place where our clients have the opportunity to step away from the distractions of daily life and allow a space for inward reflection. There are many paths we take to develop lasting change in emotional and spiritual growth. Here are some of the therapeutic processes we utilize at our young adult mental health treatment center.
